Ridgway Advance genetics are influencing commercial flocks & studs nation wide.
Due to a long term stringent breeding strategy the Advance Sheep have evolved into a distinctive genetic line of merinos, producing quality wool and meat, answering all today’s management demands. This has resulted in the popularity of the Ridgway Advance stock to be growing rapidly, with commercial and stud clients from all prominent merino producing areas of Australia.
08 Report. Richard James “one of the best on-property sales held in Australia. With 80 registered buyers bids flew from the onset and when the last of the 100 rams in the main auction had been sold, Ridgway Advance had set a new SA on-property record average. The huge crowd of 200+ all agreed the Ridgway Advance rams all had typical large SA frames with plain bodies combined with free-growing wool coverings, staple length and brightness – complemented by consistent impressive wool test figures.” Main Auction –100 rams offered & sold averaged $2130 to a top of $7500 (White River, SA & Uardry, NSW). Mini Auction - averaged $720

An outstanding ram line-up of tremendous depth was sold at the Classing Classic Sale at Murray Bridge. Twenty One very free skinned, large framed meaty animals with incredible staple length and fibre sold to a top of $12,000.
